Sleep Study Update
Well, we heard from the sleep doctor today (Dr. Pfeffer - it reminds me of Dr. Seuss). Hannah's sleep study came back abnormal. (I'm really not surprised!) Hannah has partial obstructions which mean that everytime she "obstucts" the airflow is decreased 30-50%. During the sleep study Hannah obstucted 35 times which is like 4.5 times an hour. I guess it happens more during a certain stage of sleep, which I can't recall now, so if you look at the obstructions during that stage it was like 15 times an hour. Ironically enough it's the worst during the later half of the night and it makes her really restless in her sleep. I would never have guessed that because the first half of the night is when it is the worst for us. Most of her night awakenings when we have to go in are during the first half of the night and then she usually sleeps without us having to help her during the last half. A bit confusing to me! There was no cause or reason for the first awakening she had during the sleep study. Crazy! Our next course of action is to go see an ENT. It looks like Hannah might have her tonsils and adnoids (sp?) out. I'm still trying to digest all of this but it is nice to know that Hannah really does have issues and we aren't just crazy.

Wow, that's good and bad news. I'm so glad they were able to find something (I never thought you were crazy!). But it would definitely be scary to have to go through that process of removing her tonsils and adenoids. That is so crazy that it didn't have anything to do with her earlier waking. There has to be something that is causing that! At least you're on the trail to things that will help.
If it makes you feel any better, I still think you're crazy. Well, Chad at least...
Seriously though, it must feel good to have at least some answers. Hopefully this will improve things.
