Anniversary
A few weeks ago Chad and I had our 10 year anniversary. Wow! Chad’s parents were brave enough to volunteer to come and stay with the kids so we could get away. It was the first time we had done that since having kids. It was nice to get away for a couple of day with no kids and was much needed. We went to Cedar City and took in the Shakespearean Festival, did a lot of hiking, and whatever else we felt like since we could be flexible. We had a great time. The kids did well too. Since we were gone it forced them to warm up quickly to g-ma and g-pa and they got a lot more time together then they would have had we been home. We really appreciate you mom and dad for coming and letting us get away. Thanks so much!! Hopefully we survive another ten years!

A view from the beginning of Cascade Falls Trail. It was a very short (1 mile round trip) hike but very pretty. You hiked half a mile into the falls which come out of the side of the mountain. Very nice.

We spent over half a day at Cedar Breaks National Monument. We really enjoyed it. The scenery was very nice as were the hikes. There were 4 viewpoints you drove to as well as two 2 mile hikes. We were able to do both hikes as well as stop at all of the viewpoints. We would recommend it to anyone to visit.

This is a picture of my favorite viewpoint.

We went to the Thanksgiving Point Barn/farm before mom and dad went home. The kids got to do the pony ride and see all of the animals. The kids loved it! Spencer loves animals right now.

Lots of exciting stuff going on for you guys. I am so glad that you got to go on a trip by yourselves! That was very nice of Chad's parents! Todd and I hope to be able to do something like that for our 10 year anniversary as well (and later on when our kids are older...EVERY year!)
Cedar City looks really cool. I have always wanted to go to the Shakespeare Festival, and I didn't really know that they had all those cool hikes and views. I'd really like to go there someday. Glad you guys had fun!
