Hannah's Birthday
Hannah turned a big 4 on Feb. 28th. She was very excited for her birthday this year and we counted down for several weeks. The night before I set out all of her presents on the kitchen table along with some balloons and a flower. We woke her up in the morning so that she could open all of her presents before Chad went to work. She was so thrilled when she came into the kitchen and saw everything. She was very happy which is quite unusual for her since she is not a morning person. Spencer enjoyed helping her open her presents. We got some good pictures of her joyous expressions as she opened each gift. She has loved all of her gifts as well as the cards/stickers/pictures she received in the mail. Thanks everyone for making her feel so special!!!
I had bought donuts for Hannah to have for breakfast. She loves donuts and we don't get them very often. I think Hannah ate 3 or 4 of them during the day. Spencer also enjoyed them.
Hannah wanted a butterfly cake for her birthday. It actually turned out to be pretty easy to make and Hannah helped me decorate it which made it even more fun for her.
The saturday following Hannah's birthday we had a little birthday party for her with her friends. I cannot even express how excited Hannah was for her party! We had five of her friends come over for 1 hour (I couldn't have handled anything longer!!). They colored, made bracelets, played some games, opened presents, and had cupcakes and ice cream. Lucky for me G-ma Fromm was in town and was there to help me. It turned out well and I am glad that Hannah doesn't get parties every year!

Sher, the cake turned out great and it looks like all the kids had a blast - see, you can do it! Alia saw the pictures and said, "Can I have a butterfly cake for my next birthday?" It's a lot more fun when they get so excited for everything, huh?
