Hannah and the birds

The other day I took the kids to Lowes with me. Flying around above the parking lot was a flock of several hundred birds. It was pretty impressive. I pointed them out to Hannah and she and I had this conversation:

Me: "How many birds to you think there are?"

Hannah: "Twenty."

Me: "I think there are more than that!"

Hannah: "Yes, but I can only count to twenty!"

I couldn't argue with her logic!

Pocatello and the zoo

While we were in Pocatello we went to the Ross Park Zoo. The kids had a great time.
There was a little playground area at the zoo which went over well with the kids especially the slide!
There was a tiny petting zoo so the kids got to brush the goats.
Spencer loved being in the backpack. It put him up high like the rest of us so he could see everything. He was making the monkey sound in the picture though there weren't any monkeys at this zoo unless you count my kids! Posted by Picasa

Pocatello and cousins

We went to Pocatello last weekend. Brad and Brenda and family also came up. Hannah and Spencer thoroughly enjoyed having their cousins to play with. Spencer and Emma were funny to watch. Emma would try to take Spencer's binky or pull his hair. He let her know a time or two what he thought of that. They were cute together. Hannah loved, loved, loved, having Abby and Ben to play with. They were together constantly. They had a great time. Emma and Spencer get a moment on grandpa's lap as they check out the cell phone which is always popular with them.
Ben and Abby enjoyed doing beads with Hannah. They had never done it before and liked it enough that they bought some for themselves to take home. Posted by Picasa

I'm trying!

Spencer is always trying to put socks or shoes on. He is never successful at getting socks on though he tries hard. He is generally pretty good with the shoes as long as they are big shoes which his feet into easily. Lately he has liked to put Hannah's flip-flops on and walk around the house. He walks better in them than Hannah did when she first wore flip-flops. Posted by Picasa

Cute Girl

This was the look I got when Hannah realized I had the camera and was taking pictures.

Favorite Activity

Spencer just loves to read. When Hannah was his age she never wanted to just sit and read and read and read and read. It's actually fun. He sure knows how to throw a fit though when we can't read with him and he wants to. Posted by Picasa
