No more training wheels!

Okay, so last Satuday the kids decided they wanted to learn to ride their bikes without the training wheels. I had told them we were going to work on it this summer. We spent about 30 minutes and they made some progress. Well today (day 2 of trying!) the kids went out to play for just a few minutes while Chad and I were finishing getting ready to go run errands. They got their bikes out and when I looked outside Spencer was cruising down the sidewalk so I had to go out and get a few clips of them. I can't believe how quickly they have caught on. Spencer is definitely ahead of Hannah (which I knew would happen) and already cruising around as you can tell from the video clip. It's just personalities. Hannah is so cautious and worries about everything. She'll get there. I am quite proud of both of them. It's fun to think that we will be able to go on some family bike rides this summer!

Fence

After almost 10 years in our house, we finally have a fence! It's amazing how fast it went up. We are all excited about it. I just have to train my kids that a fence means they get to stay in the backyard and not go racing through the gates and around the house. Now for a swingset and trampoline.......

Haircut

My hair was driving me nuts, so I chopped it this week. I got like 7 inches cut off. It's shorter then I had wanted it, but it will grow back right?! I'm still trying to figure it out since it's only been a couple of days, but I think I am going to like it. No more pony tails for me!

Happy Birthday Spencer!

Today Spencer turned 4 years old! He has been very excited for his birthday and it's been hard for him to have to wait for it to arrive. He woke up at 6:30am! A bit early for the rest of us. He was fun to watch and enjoyed every minute of his day. He loved riding his new scooter as we walked Hannah to school today. He spent all day playing with his new toys. This evening Mom and Dad Kohler as well as Jaylyn came over for cake and ice cream. It's so nice to have them close so they can celebrate with us!! Happy Birthday Spencer! We love you!!!
Hannah had to be in a picture with Spencer just so she didn't feel left out.

Spencer wanted a turtle cake so I did a little research and Chad helped me some too. I wasn't sure how it was going to turn out, but I will admit that I was very pleased. All it takes is time!

Can you get any cuter?!!
